Pau Victor Joins SC Braga After One Season with Barça’s First Team

FC Barcelona has officially confirmed the permanent transfer of forward Pau Victor to Portuguese side SC Braga. The Catalan club announced the agreement, concluding the 23-year-old’s chapter at Camp Nou.

Victor’s journey with Barça was short but notable. Initially arriving on loan from Girona in 2023, he delivered a standout season for Barça Atletic, finishing as the top goalscorer in the RFEF First Division. His impressive form prompted the club to secure his rights permanently in 2024.

Last season, under manager Hansi Flick, Victor broke into the first team, accumulating 29 appearances while tallying two goals and one assist.

However, a crowded attacking roster made a starting spot difficult to secure. With established players like Robert Lewandowski, Ferran Torres, Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Dani Olmo, plus the recent high-profile signing of Marcus Rashford, Victor’s pathway to consistent minutes was effectively blocked.

While the club’s official statement did not disclose financial specifics, the transfer is reported to be highly beneficial for Barcelona. The deal is understood to be worth an initial €12 million, with a potential for an additional €3 million in performance-related add-ons, securing a handsome profit for the La Liga titleholders.
